Poni Wilds

A complete walkthrough for Poni Wilds in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, detailing trainer battles, item locations, and wild Pokémon encounters.

Poni Wilds is a harsh and undeveloped area on Poni Island. From the entrance, you can head east to a Dancer trainer, or west through tall grass.

Pokemon Encounters - Poni Wilds

Head west from Lillie’s position, through the tall grass. After escaping the grass, a slope on the left leads to the beach. Continue north along the west side of Poni Wilds. You will encounter Ace Trainer Elwood.

Ace Trainer Elwood

Elwood's Pokémon are weak to Fire, Flying, Rock, and doubly weak to Ice. Both have Solar Beam, which requires a turn to charge.

Towards the far north, near a berry tree, look between two rocks north of the tall grass to find a Rare Candy. You can also challenge the dancing duo, Cara and Douglas.

This is a Double Battle against two Mienfoo. They can use Hi Jump Kick, U-Turn, Swords Dance, and Helping Hand.

After the battle, return to the entrance of Poni Beach and head north-east. Ace Trainer Lindsey is located just below the tall grass. You can sneak past her by hugging the raised ground to the north-west.

Ace Trainer Lindsey

Lindsey's Garbodor can use Gunk Shot, Body Slam, Toxic, and Protect. Her Toxapex has high Defense and Special Defense, and can use Poison Jab, Liquidation, and Pin Missile. It holds a Poison Z-Crystal. Use Electric and Psychic-types against Toxapex.

North of Lindsey is another berry tree. You can proceed east to battle Ace Trainer Kekoa, or go back into the tall grass and continue east to end up behind him.

Ace Trainer Kekoa

Kekoa's Granbull is weak to Poison and Steel. Sharpedo is weak to Grass, Electric, Fighting, and Fairy. Ampharos is weak to Ground.

Head north-east from Kekoa's position to escape the tall grass. Near the north of this path, find a Max Potion.

Continue south through two patches of tall grass. Go up the slope to the left to find a Dusk Stone below some rocks. Head east until you reach the next patch of tall grass. Go north from the tip of the tall grass and up the slope to the right of the trainer tips sign. At the end of this raised area is a third berry tree.
