After you've dealt with the initial wave, make your way to the south-west corner of this sewer area. You'll find a Ghoul Outcast there. Go chat with him.

He's got a bit of a family drama going on and needs your help to retrieve an amulet from his brother. Agree to help him out, and he'll officially give you the quest.

Now, head over to the south-east corner of the map. This is where you'll face the Ghoul Lord. He's not a pushover – he'll summon Skeleton Chieftans to try and confuse you, and he's got a good selection of offensive spells. Just keep your wits about you; he's manageable once you get a feel for his attacks.

Once you've defeated the Ghoul Lord, search his remains. You're looking for the 'Amulet of Power.' While you're at it, check the chest in this same area. If you happen to be doing Colmarr's quest, you can find the 'Lever of Wind' in there.

Now, head back to the Ghoul Outcast in the south-west corner and give him the Amulet of Power. He'll reward you with the 'Lever of Water' (again, for Colmarr's quest), a 'Sewer Control Key,' and 150 XP.

Here's a little choice: after you get your reward, you can actually turn on the Ghoul Outcast and take the amulet for yourself if you want.

You'll notice a locked door in the south-east corner of the sewer. To get through that, you'll need to complete the 'Nine Lives' side quest to snag the key for it.

Take some time to explore the rest of the sewer system. There are more opportunities to gain XP in the unexplored areas.
