Walkthrough
  1. 1
    In the first area of the fort, you will be attacked by Elk Tribe Warriors. Continue south and enter Fort Ilkard.

    Explore the area around the Fort's Main Gate, defeating Ogres and Orcs. In the north-east corner, enter a cave and kill Guzud if you are doing the supply line quest. Note that you cannot rest in this region unless you are inside a building or cave.

    Head to the main gates and speak to the guard to gain access to the fort.

    Enter the Commander's Lodge and speak to Commander Damas for a side quest that ties into the main quest.

    After completing the siege side quest, proceed to the Ruins in the south-east to continue the main quest.

    In the Ruins, defeat Cultists, take the leader's journal, and read it.

    In the back of the Ruins, near an altar with a triangular beam of light and colored light pillars, enemies will teleport in. Search a pile of stones by the altar to find Volcanis Oak Seeds, which are needed for Linu's Tale.

    Enter a cave entrance near the altar, passing through light beams to reach the Creator Race Ruins.

    Upon entering, take the Translation Amulet from a corpse directly ahead and equip it to understand the Creator Race language.

    Open the door and defeat Vampires and Mummies. You will then see a non-interactive Temporal Lizard near the Door of Three, which is the main objective.

    Identify the Sun Dial in the north-west corner, a Guardian Golem room due north, and two more Guardian Golem rooms to the east and west. Each Golem guards a riddle. You cannot interact with the Door of Three yet.

    Open the door directly across from your entrance into the ruins and proceed to the Garden.

    Speak with Sapphira to learn that you must travel back in time to open the Door of Three. She will give you a side quest to plant seeds, a Time Crystal, and Ultarg Tree Seeds.

    Exit the garden and go to the Sun Dial. Do not interact with anyone or try to kill the Golems yet, as they are currently indestructible.

    Use the Time Crystal on the Sun Dial to travel back in time. You must manually select to use the Time Crystal from your inventory.

    Upon exiting the Sun Dial in the past, you will be attacked by an Old One Commander. Defeat it.

    You cannot use the Stone of Recall while in the past; it only works in the present.

    Head to the north-east corner room and speak with Lokar, the leader of the slaves. He will give you a ring to help persuade the Slave Workers assigned to the Golems guarding the Riddle Rooms.

    Fight Creator Race Lizard creatures and commanders, who drop decent XP and potentially a scroll of Temple Defenses.

    Equip Lokar's Ring and speak to the Slave Worker near the bridge to the Riddle of Smoke. Ask about the Golems and persuade him to build a faulty Golem by promising to free him or give him gold. He will agree regardless of your persuasion skill check if you wear the ring.

    He will offer four ways to weaken the Golem: Fire, Cold, Blunt Weapons, or Slashing and Piercing Weapons. Choose one and remember your choice, as this will be the Golem's weakness in the present.

    Wander through the rest of the ruins and speak to the other two Slave Workers by the Riddle of Sound and Riddle of Light rooms. They will offer the same four weakening choices for their respective Golems. Remember your choices.

    To plant the tree for Sapphira, go to the garden. Queen Morag will be there; you cannot kill her, but you can defeat the Lizards around her. Interact with the Dirt and Weeds to plant the seeds.

    Explore all rooms in the past to find items and gain XP.

    Return to the Sun Dial and use the Time Crystal to warp back to the future.

    Go to the south-east Golem Room and defeat the Golem using the weakness you selected in the past. The Golem is invincible otherwise.

    Search the defeated Golem's remains to find a key. Use this key on the gate it was guarding to enter the Riddle of Light room.

    In the Riddle of Light room, you will see two Pools of Secondary Colors, two Pools of Primary Colors, and a Pool of Swirling Colors in the center. Search the Pool of Swirling Colors.
Tips
  • You cannot rest in the fort region unless you are inside a building or cave.
  • Remember the specific weakness you choose for each Golem in the past, as they are invincible to other forms of damage in the present.
  • The Stone of Recall does not function while you are in the past.
  • Queen Morag cannot be killed, but you can defeat the Lizards around her in the past.
  • Access to the Riddle of Light room after defeating the Golem and using its key.
  • Progress in the main quest.
  • XP and potential item drops from enemies.
