Learn how the Lore skill in Neverwinter works to identify magic items, its Intelligence requirement, and class availability.

The Lore skill is tied to your character's Intelligence attribute and is available to All classes. It is an untrained skill, meaning you do not need to actively train it. The skill is used automatically every time you examine an item.

When you examine an item, a check is made against the unidentified item's value. This check determines what magical properties the item may possess. Bards are able to identify items easier than other classes. Various spells and items can also give you a bonus to your Lore skill.
