Vault 21 Gift Shop

The Vault 21 Gift Shop is the northern-most building on this side of the Strip. Inside, you'll find Sarah, who runs the gift shop and hotel. Ask about vault stuff and vault gear to learn she needs vault suits. You can start a quest to gather thirty vault suits. A successful Barter 65 check allows her to accept Boomer jumpsuits. If you have thirty vault suits, you'll receive 30 Caps per suit and The Strip Fame. Talking to her again after the quest makes her friendlier, allowing for intimate time if you rent a room for 20 Caps (or 10 Caps with a successful Barter 55 check).

You can also ask Sarah about Vault 21's history and operation. A successful Perception 8 check reveals she is agoraphobic. To learn more about her, you can hack the Vault 21 Reception Terminal [Very Hard] in the Gift Shop, or use an easier terminal in Vault 21.

In the hotel, you can loot Dressers for chems and clothing, and Vault 21 Lockers for assorted loot. Search guest rooms for Strip Letter 1, 2, and 3 on desks. Your rented room is east of the game room. Sarah's room, east of yours, contains the Snow Globe - The Strip. Her Dresser [Hard] has 180 Caps and clothes. Hacking Sarah's Terminal [Easy] reveals correspondence between her and her brother.

NCR Embassy

Across the street from Vault 21 is the NCR Embassy to the north and the NCR Military HQ to the south. Currently, there isn't much to do here, but it becomes more relevant later in the main story if you side with the NCR. You can speak with Liza O'Malley, the receptionist, who will refer you to Ambassador Crocker. You can hack her Terminal [Easy] for NCR banter. To the east, a barracks room contains Lockers and Footlockers to loot, and Strip Letter 11 on a table. The cafeteria has food, and Strip Note 9 is on a table. Bathrooms and a storage closet are also present.

West of the lobby, past a corner, are two rooms. The eastern room contains the note “Ambassador Phillip Granger’s Final Report”. The western room is Ambassador Dennis Crocker's office. He can provide extensive backstory on himself and the NCR's efforts in the Mojave. You can play Caravan with him; he often bets over 1000 Caps per hand. Hacking his Terminal [Average] yields information on the Omertas, Freeside, the Fiends, and the NCR Sharecropper Farms. The note “Ambassador Susanna Edith’s Final Report” is on a bookshelf along the western wall.

NCR Military Police HQ

This building is straightforward. A locked door [Hard] in the south-eastern corner leads to contraband weapons, four Ammo Boxes, a First Aid Box, and NCR Trooper Armor. You can hack a Terminal [Easy] for minor information and pick the locked desk [Average] on which it sits for a key. In the prison room, Strip Letter 10 is on a desk.

Classic Inspiration

Michael Angelo’s Workshop is the southern-most building on the Strip. Inside, head west to find inhabitants on scaffolding or in rooms to the north. Speak with Kate, who will direct you to Michael Angelo, the creator of the workshop's neon signs. He is usually found in the rooms to the north.
