Complete The Legend of the Star and A Valuable Lesson in fallout new vegas. Find Festus, collect 50 Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Caps, and disable the Bottle Cap Press.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the lobby of Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters, find Festus in the south-eastern corner. Talk to it and select "Star Info" to begin the quest The Legend of the Star.
  2. 2
Deposit fifty (or more) Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Caps with Festus. You should have accumulated over sixty, possibly around seventy, caps during your journey. Drinking Sunset Sarsaparilla has a 5% chance to yield a Star Bottle Cap, or you can play Lucky Horsehoes with Festus.
  3. 3
After depositing the caps, Festus will give you an underwhelming prize. Complain to be directed to the vault for a better reward, which ends The Legend of the Star and starts A Valuable Lesson.
  4. 4
Head west from the lobby through double doors behind the front desk. In the bathrooms to the south, you can find an Ash Pile with loot and a First Aid Box. Further west, through another set of double doors, you'll find a Vending Machine, and through another door to the south, a Food Storage fridge.
  5. 5
Return to the lobby and go through a door to the north, then proceed east and north down a hallway. To your left are double doors leading to an office with a collapsed floor acting as a ramp to the upper level.
  6. 6
To your right (east) are two smaller rooms. The southern room is a storage closet. The northern room contains a Mr. Janitor robot that can be activated by hacking an average difficulty Terminal.
  7. 7
Activate the Mr. Janitor robot. It will move west into two factory rooms. Be wary of Protectrons in these areas. In the office across from the Mr. Janitor's room, loot desks. In the factory behind it, find many Sunset Sarsaparilla bottles. Behind an operational "Bottling Robot" Mr. Handy, you'll find numerous full bottles in crates. The Bottling Robot will turn hostile if you interact with it.
  8. 8
In the larger factory floor at the end of the hall, you will encounter two "Shipping Worker" Protectrons and many crates of empty Sunset Sarsaparilla Bottles. The Bottle Cap Press is in the center of this room. Activate it and strip its parts to satisfy Alice McLafferty.
  9. 9
After the Mr. Janitor robot finishes cleaning, return to the hallway near its resting place and search the Garbage Can to find over 550 Bottle Caps.
  10. 10
Make your way to the office room with the collapsed floor ramp and head up to the second floor. Avoid the eastern end of the ramp near the pie-chart presentation to prevent getting stuck.
  11. 11
Go west through a doorway into hallways that loop around the upper floor. The center contains two bathrooms, each with a First Aid Box. An office to the east has mundane loot.
  12. 12
Continue to the southern end of the hallway loop. Stairs go down, and a hallway extends further south to the east. Down the stairs are two locked doors [Very Hard]. One is unlocked and leads to rubble; the other leads to a boring office.
  13. 13
Down the southern hallway, past another office, you'll find a doorway to an office with a hole in the floor. Hack a [Very Easy] Terminal to read corporate information. Unlock a Wall Safe [Average] over the hole to find more loot, including a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap.
  14. 14
Descend through the hole in the floor and head west through a doorway to find the double doors leading to the vault. This door will be unlocked if you previously gave Festus fifty Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Caps. Enter the vault to find Sunset Sarsaparilla Deputy Badges.
