Follow this Fallout: New Vegas guide to clear Primm of escaped convicts and explore its key locations, including the Nash Residence and Vikki and Vance Casino, to recruit ED-E.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Leave the Lone Wolf Radio trailer and head east to the I-15, then south to Primm’s outskirts.
  2. 2
An NCR Trooper will stop you and explain that Raiders (Powder Ganger splinter sect) and NCR manpower shortages plague Primm.
  3. 3
The Trooper suggests talking to Lieutenant Hayes. Head west onto another road and follow it south to a makeshift NCR camp.
  4. 4
Enter “Lieutenant Hayes’ Tent” and speak with the officer. He reveals the NCR cannot assist, and you must deal with the convicts yourself to access the Mojave Express office. Loot the tent if desired.
  5. 5
Backtrack north to the bridge over I-15. Cross it, being wary of Frag Mines.
  6. 6
Proceed into Primm and clear out the Escaped Convicts. Some are near “The Bison Steve Hotel,” others on the roller-coaster tracks circling it. Climb the tracks by going behind the hotel (north-east and south-west) and finding an access point near the ground.
  7. 7
Once the convicts are defeated, explore the town:
    • The Bison Steve Hotel: Far-eastern part of town.
  8. 8
Primm Houses: Intact houses on the southern end.
  9. 9
Nash Residence: West of The Bison Steve Hotel; also Primm’s Mojave Express office.
  10. 10
Vikki and Vance Casino: Across the street north of the Nash Residence.
  11. 11
Deputy Beagle’s Residence & Primm Sheriff’s Office: Along the northern edge of town.
  12. 12
Primm Houses: Most contain mundane loot. In the western of the two intact northern houses, find a Wall Safe [Average] hidden by a bookshelf in a room with a skeleton.
  13. 13
Nash Residence: Near the front door, find the body of Daniel Wyand with the note “Mojave Express Order.” Examine the “Damaged Robot” on the counter. Repair it with a [Repair 65] check, or a [Science 55] check to lower the Repair requirement to [Repair 35]. If you fail, gather 3 Scrap Metal, 2 Sensor Modules, and 1 Scrap Electronics. Success repairs the eye-bot ED-E, who will join you if you run its . If you need help with skill checks, find “Fixin’ Things” and “Programmer’s Digest” on a bedside table in the back room. Recruiting ED-E grants the “Enhanced Sensors” perk, increasing threat detection range. ED-E can also serve as a Reloading Bench and Work Bench. If disbanded, ED-E returns to the Nash Residence.
  14. 14
To find Johnson Nash, head west from the Nash Residence to a ruined building. Go upstairs for two Ammo Boxes and a “Milsurp Review” magazine near a bed. South of the Nash Residence, find a leveled Safe buried in rubble.
  15. 15
Primm Sheriff’s Office/Deputy Beagle’s House: Bypass the Vikki and Vance Casino and head north. Inside the Sheriff’s Office, find .308 Rounds and an Ammo Box. In the west room, find the bodies of the Sheriff and his wife. Deputy Beagle’s House contains a Gun Case [Very Easy].
  16. 16
Vikki and Vance Casino: Enter to meet Johnson Nash. Tell him you are a courier and ask about your job, then mention the men who robbed you.
