Detailed walkthrough for Fallout: New Vegas's 'The Fort' section, covering arena fights, quests for Siri and Melody, and your crucial meeting with Caesar.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Blood and Sand: Head west from the inner fort gate to find an arena. Speak with Otho outside. If you are male, you can compete in the arena. You will only be able to use Machetes and issued gladiator light armor.
  2. 2
    Round 1: Fight two Slaves.
  3. 3
Round 2: Fight Sergeant Andrews, an NCR Trooper.
  4. 4
Round 3: Fight Stella, an NCR Ranger.
  5. 5
You will gain Caesar's Legion Fame after each round.
  6. 6
Siris Powder Problem: Head north from the arena to find Siri near a mess tent. Ask about her medical background. If you pass a [Speech 20] or [Survival 20] check, you can tell her how to better manage her ingredients for Caesar's Legion Fame.
  7. 7
Melody and Antony: Continue west from the mess tent, turn south, then climb west down a ledge to a lower part of the camp. Loot tents for mediocre weapons, Legion armor, and Legion coins. Continue south past stairs, turn east to a tent, and enter the gate to find Melody.
  8. 8
Pass a [Speech 50] check to get Melody to ask you to recover her doll, Sergeant Teddy, from Antony.
  9. 9
Leave the Brahmin pen and head north to stairs, then northeast to another flight of stairs. Continue east past a broken Howitzer to find Antony.
  10. 10
Ask Antony about Melody's bear. You have several options:
  11. 11
Fight four of his dogs with only a Machete. You can attempt a [Barter 50] check to reduce this to two dogs.
  12. 12
Convince him with a [Speech 50] check.
  13. 13
Convince him with a [Reputation] check (if you are popular with the Legion).
  14. 14
    Steal the doll.
  15. 15
If you fight the dogs and win, you will earn Caesar's Legion Fame and Antony will give you Sergeant Teddy.
  16. 16
Optional: Lupa's Brain: Ask Antony if you can use Lupa's brain for your cyber dog. He will agree if you defeat Lupa in the arena. If you kill Lupa, you can loot her body for Lupa's Brain, which can be used to fix Rex, granting him the Blood of the Legion perk (increases DT). You will gain more Caesar's Legion Fame for killing Lupa in the arena.
  17. 17
Return to Melody. Give her back Sergeant Teddy for Karma, or tear it up in front of her to lose Karma and gain Caesar's Legion Fame.
  18. 18
Meet Caesar: Head into Caesar's tent in the middle of the camp. He will chastise you for past actions (if applicable), explain why he brought you here, give you the Platinum Chip, and send you on your way. Saying "How may I serve your Legion, Caesar?" earns Caesar's Legion Fame.
Tips
  • If your Melee Weapons skill is low, you may want to avoid the arena fights. Skills like Piercing Strike and Slayer will make these fights easier.
  • Loot tents in the lower part of the camp for mediocre weapons, Legion armor, and Legion coins.
  • You can choose to side with Caesar's Legion, the NCR, Mr. House, or go rogue after your meeting with Caesar.
  • Arcade Gannon may start his companion quest, "For Auld Lang Syne," during these events.
  • Caesar's Legion Fame (from arena fights, helping Siri, fighting Antony's dogs, killing Lupa).
  • Sergeant Teddy (from Antony).
  • Lupa's Brain (from Lupa, if defeated).
  • Platinum Chip (from Caesar).
  • Karma (if you return Sergeant Teddy to Melody).
