Complete the H&H Tools Factory and North Vegas Square sections of Fallout: New Vegas. Learn how to start and finish the 'Someone to Watch Over Me' quest.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
H&H Tools Factory: Fast-travel to The Thorn or South Cistern and head east. Inside the lobby, find the ¡La Fantoma! magazine on a bookshelf and Boxing Times on a desk. Investigate the "Suspicious Terminal" to learn about the factory's past. Proceed south to the flooded factory floor and defeat two Robobrains. Climb the stairs, disarming four Frag Mines. Continue north into an upstairs office, also containing Frag Mines.
  2. 2
Office Exploration: Disarm a Tripwire in the northern doorway to enter a small office. Here you can find a neutered Rigged Shotgun, a Lucky 38 VIP Keycard, and hack Anthony House’s Terminal (Average difficulty) to read about his paranoia. Return to the previous office, then head east into a hallway with cubicles. In the southern of the two cubicle doors, disarm another Tripwire connected to a Grenade Bouquet.
  3. 3
Cafeteria and Traps: Return to the lobby and go east. Take the first door left to a cafeteria with food. Return to the hallway and enter an office to the east, which is protected by Frag Mines and a Tripwire linked to a Rigged Shotgun. The room contains Med-X. South of this office are cubicles guarded by Turrets, containing only inter-personal messages.
  4. 4
North Vegas Square: Leave the H&H Tools Factory and head east to North Vegas Square. Speak with Jules. If you have 50 Speech, you can comment on his weapon. With 60 Survival, you can impress him and learn the .44 Magnum, Hand Load Recipe (if you don't have the Hand Load perk).
  5. 5
Starting 'Someone to Watch Over Me': Find Crandon. Offer to help him, and pass a 45 Speech or 35 Barter check to get a job convincing squatters to leave. This starts the quest "Someone to Watch Over Me."
  6. 6
Dealing with Squatters: Locate Squatter Bill and his group near a playground east of The Gray. You can convince them to leave by passing a 45 Barter check and giving them 50 Caps, or a 45 Speech check. Failing these, you can kill them, but this results in NCR Infamy. Report back to Crandon for your reward (50 XP) and a new task: de-greasing the sewers.
  7. 7
North Sewers: Head north of The Gray and enter the sewers via a manhole. Navigate the sewers (connections to Westside, The Thorn, Central Sewers, and Freeside are present). Find Greaser Johnny and his group to the east. You can kill them (no Infamy), pay them 100 Caps, or use a 50 Barter check for 50 Caps, or a 65 Speech check to keep your Caps.
  8. 8
Hostetler's Request: Return to Crandon for your reward (100 XP) and a final task. Fast-travel to the Crimson Caravan compound and go southeast to the Hostetler Home. Speak with Mrs. Hostetler and agree to snoop on her daughter, Alice.
  9. 9
Investigating Alice: Return to North Vegas Square and speak with Jules. He will tell you Alice is with a miscreant named Andy in The Gray. Head into The Gray to continue your investigation.
