Explore the Lucky 38 and meet Mr. House in fallout new vegas. Recover the Platinum Chip and upgrade your Presidential Suite for over 100 Caps each.
Walkthrough
- 1Approach The Lucky 38 casino. Speak with Victor outside, who will direct you inside.
- 2On the casino floor, head west behind some stairs to find Cartons of Cigarettes and four Safes full of loot, particularly chems.
- 3Go up the nearby stairs and search behind a bar counter for Nuka-Cola, Sunset Sarsaparilla, and Whiskey. Above these, you'll find the Golden Gloves (unique Boxing Gloves) in front of a Boxing Times issue.
- 4On the ground floor, head east behind another bar for more food and beverages.
- 5Find another Victor-bot near an elevator across from the entrance. Take it to the Penthouse.
- 6Speak with Jane, a Securitron, and ask about Mr. House’s Snowglobe collection. You should have Snowglobes for Goodsprings, Nellis AFB, Mt. Charleston, the Mormon Fort, and The Strip.
- 7Head south down some stairs, then east through a curtain to find Mr. House on a monitor.
- 8Activate the console under his monitor to speak with him. He explains that an employee robbed him and you need to recover the Platinum Chip from Benny. He offers you four times the stated pay on your contract, which is 1,000 Caps.
- 9Pass a [Barter 50] check to increase the pay to 1,250 Caps and agree to the deal.
- 10After speaking with Mr. House, you can ask him questions about Benny, the families of New Vegas, and the Platinum Chip. Passing a [Speech 50] check when asking about the Platinum Chip reveals it has a use tied to computers. Passing a [Medicine 35] check when asking about him reveals he is over 200 years old.
- 11Return to the elevator and speak with Victor to receive a comped suite.
- 12Travel to the Presidential Suite. Access the terminal in the hall to purchase upgrades: two Crafting Lockers, a Fridge, two Guest Wardrobes, two Master Wardrobes, a Sunset Sarsaparilla Vending Machine, two Weapon Trunks, and a Work Bench. Each costs just over 100 Caps.
- 13Head down to the Cocktail Lounge. Search every Cash Register for Pre-War money. On the northern side of the ring, behind a Cash Register, find the Snow Globe - Test Site.
- 14Exit The Lucky 38. You will gain The Strip Fame and an NCR Trooper will direct you to meet Ambassador Crocker (this is part of the pro-NCR ending).
Tips
- The Presidential Suite offers storage, beds, water, and crafting stations after purchasing upgrades.
- The Snow Globe - Test Site is the second-to-last Snow Globe to collect. The final one is at Hoover Dam.
- After exiting The Lucky 38, you may be directed to meet Ambassador Crocker as part of a potential pro-NCR storyline.
