Sub-Scenario: Blades of Eternia

Learn how to defeat Braev, Alternis, and Kamiizumi in Bravely Default. This guide covers their HP, weaknesses, and strategies for this tough sub-scenario.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Braev: Level 66, 70,000 HP, Weak to Dark
• Alternis: Level 66, 90,000 HP, Weak to Nothing
• Kamiizumi: Level 66, 65,000 HP, Weak to Nothing

Phases:

1. Initial Phase: Braev will Default to build BP. Alternis uses dark attacks. Kamiizumi counters physical attacks.
2. Alternis Below Half HP: Alternis will start using Minus Strike, a guaranteed KO. Rampart or Utsusemi can evade this, but allies may break your defense.
3. Character KO'd: If any character drops to 0 HP, Kamiizumi will go into berserk mode the next turn, Braving three times.
4. Kamiizumi Immobile: After his berserk mode, Kamiizumi will be immobile for three turns, offering an excellent damage opportunity.

Strategy:

• Prioritize targets: Decide whether Braev, Alternis, or Kamiizumi is the most immediate threat. Alternis is often recommended to be dealt with last due to Minus Strike, but Kamiizumi's counters and Braev's BP building also pose significant risks.
• Exploit Braev's BP building: Use attacks that bypass his defenses, such as Pierce Default from the Valkyrie Job, to deal damage effectively.
• Prepare for Alternis's Minus Strike: Equip Abate Dark to mitigate his dark-based attacks. Have defensive abilities like Rampart or Utsusemi ready to counter Minus Strike, but be aware that allies can break your defenses.
• Counter Kamiizumi's counters: Choose attacks wisely to avoid triggering his counter-attacks. Avoid having the entire party use physical attacks on the same turn.
• Capitalize on Kamiizumi's downtime: When Kamiizumi is immobile after his berserk phase, focus all attacks on him.
• Stealing (Optional): You can attempt to steal the Rebuff Locket from Braev, Chaos Blade from Alternis, and Muramasa from Kamiizumi. This is risky and not essential for victory.
