Embark on your journey in the Kingdom of Caldisla, finding hidden items and speaking with townsfolk. Learn how to progress through the Land of Beginnings and meet the King.

Welcome to the Kingdom of Caldisla, the starting point of your adventure! As you make your way through the Land of Beginnings, take a moment to chat with the locals by walking up to them and pressing the [A] button. Don't be afraid to stray from the main path; you might just find something useful!

Just below the inn, keep an eye out for an obscured corner to the right of the town entrance. Inspecting it will reward you with an Antidote. Further west, you'll find a graveyard. Rummage around the back of the building to the right of it, and you'll discover a valuable Phoenix Down. Near the building at the graveyard's edge, inspect the area to the left of the door to find a Potion.

As you explore the northern part of town, you'll notice various local shops. They're marked with a special icon on your bottom screen. For now, you don't need to worry about them, especially with your limited funds, but it's good to know they're there for when you're ready to shop.

Audience With The King

When you arrive at the castle gate, press [A] to enter the palace. Make your way all the way to the top to meet the king. It's quite convenient how easily you can speak with royalty here, isn't it? Press [A] in front of the king to start a conversation.

Tiz will explain his desire to check on Norende, but the king will warn him about the monsters. Tiz, however, is determined, and the king will reluctantly grant him permission to pass. After your audience, don't forget to check the lantern to the right of the king's throne – you'll find 100 pg tucked away inside!

Similarly, take a peek at the statue above the passageway to the left (which doesn't actually lead anywhere) to find some Eye Drops. These are super handy for curing Blind, a status that makes your attacks miss way more often. Once you've finished your treasure hunting, exit the palace and head south out of town. Your real journey begins now!
