Learn how to steal items in bravely default with Thief Gloves and Master Thief ability, and find out when enemies disappear after Chapter 5.

Stealing Tips

  • To make stealing easier, change to the Thief job or equip the Master Thief ability, and equip the Thief Gloves. This increases your steal rate to 75%.
  • You can further increase the steal rate to 100% by using Prayer (Freelancer) beforehand and equip Rob Blind (Thief) to duplicate all stolen items.
  • If an enemy has two stealable items, you will only steal one on the first attempt. Attempt to steal again in the same battle to get the second item.
  • Equipment that can be stolen is **bolded** in the bestiary.

Location, Relocation

  • Unless an enemy is specified to be found from Chapter 5 or a location only accessible after Chapter 5, all enemies will disappear from their usual locations starting from Chapter 5.
  • All missing enemies can be found in Dimension’s Hasp, though they will have improved stats.
