Alright, let's talk about Captain Barbarossa. This guy hits like a truck, so we need to be ready to heal and defend. Make sure your healer is rocking the White Robe for max healing power, and slap on some Hermes Sandals to make sure you can act before he does!

Barbarossa has a couple of annoying tricks up his sleeve. He'll use Defang to lower someone's attack and Shell Split to drop a character's defense. Watch out, because sometimes he'll Brave and use Shell Split followed immediately by Double Damage. If you get hit hard, don't panic! He'll be immobile for a bit after that, giving you a free turn to revive anyone who fell.

Phases:

1. Opening: Barbarossa uses Defang and Shell Split. Keep your defenses up and heal as needed. Use Default to build up BP if you're not actively taking heavy damage.
2. Mid-Battle: He might Brave and use Shell Split into Double Damage. Be prepared to heal or revive. If he's immobile after this combo, use the free turn to recover.
3. Low HP Frenzy: Once his HP gets low, he'll Brave twice to unleash a devastating three-hit combo. This is dangerous, but he'll be immobile for two full turns afterward. Use this crucial window to heal up and unleash your strongest attacks.

Strategy:

• Focus on dealing lightning damage. Black Mages or Spell Fencers using Thundara will be very effective since he has poor magic defense.
• Use the Default command often to build up Brave Points (BP) for when you need to unleash a big combo or recover from heavy damage.
• When Barbarossa is immobile after his low HP frenzy, go all out! Heal your party and then hit him with everything you've got.
