The Axe on the Lake Walkthrough

Start The Axe on the Lake: Travel to the village of Tachov, west of Trosky Castle. Find Zdenyek the Mouth in the barn in the northern part of the village. If you can't find him, ask the Innkeeper for directions. Speak to Zdenyek to begin the quest.

Find the Silver Axe: Your objective will be southwest of Tachov, north of the Nomad Camp, near Rocktower Pond. Fast travel to Rocktower Pond and head east. Follow the path northeast until you reach an intersection, then head southeast through the forest towards the water to find the Water Goblin’s Hut. From the hut, head back to the path and follow it northeast uphill. Continue on this path between rocks until there are no more rocks on either side, then head northeast into the forest. Follow the path until you encounter a "Big Stone." Continue northeast up the hill past the Big Stone. On the other side of the hill, dig up the grave to find the "Broken Axe."

Repair the Broken Axe: Go to the nearest Blacksmith's Anvil (Trosky Castle has one). Interact with the anvil, select the 'Axes' tab, and choose the 'Adorned Axe.' This requires the Broken Axe and one Fastening Material (purchase from the Blacksmith if needed). Craft the axe by placing the metal in the forge and blowing until golden, then place it on the anvil and hammer it evenly until it takes shape.

Return to Zdenyek: Go back to Zdenyek in Tachov and show him the repaired axe to complete the quest.
