Ars Dimicatoria Quest Walkthrough

Head to the Iron Eagle Tavern southeast of the Kolin Gate in Kuttenberg. Speak with Menhard van Frankfurt and accept his duel. After dealing enough damage, select the dialogue options "Menhard is of noble birth" and "Menhard didn’t break any laws" to avoid a fight.

Visit the inn west of Kuttenberg to learn Menhard wants you to steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood's Sword.

Pass time until nightfall and go to the swordfighting hall in the southwest of Kuttenberg. Enter through the back door via the alleyway to the right of the building (lockpick required).

On the second floor, enter the room on the right, knock out anyone inside, and collect the sword from the back right corner.

Exit the hall the way you came in and fast travel to Kuttenberg Town Hall. Wait for the guard to move or distract him with a thrown rock, then hang the sword on the wall.

Return to the inn and inform Menhard the job is done. You will witness an argument between Germans and Kuttenbergers at the town hall. Choose "Menhard is right" to respond.

To participate in the tournament, you must join the Swordfighting Brotherhood by defeating Arnae the German in a duel. Use a defensive strategy: wait for him to strike, parry, and counter.

After defeating Arnae, swear the oath to the brotherhood.

Prepare for the tournament by completing Combat Training I and II to improve your skills and learn techniques like Master Strike. Brew Artemisia Potions (Temporarily Increases Strength) and Marigold Decoction (Regain Health).

Inform Menhard you are ready, and you will be transported to the arena.

Equip the tournament sword before beginning the duels.

Defeat Cobbler Linhart, Butcher Emmeram, and Master Nicholas of Prague in two-round duels. Use the parry/counter tactic against Nicholas, weaving in Master Strikes when possible.

After the tournament, speak with Menhard. Wait a few in-game days (you can fast forward time or do other activities).

Return to the Swordfighting Hall and talk to Menhard again to complete the quest.
