Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, make your way to the town of Grund. It's located to the east of Horschan. Once you're there, find and speak with Blacksmith Zdminir. When the dialogue options come up, choose to say, “I hear you’ve got a handy apprentice”, and then follow it up with “I expected more”. This will trigger his challenge for you to forge a weapon that's even better than his apprentice's work.
  2. 2
After accepting the challenge, you'll need to head to the smithy. It's situated on the northern side of Grund.
  3. 3
Now, it's time to forge the **Competition Hunting Sword**. Zdminir provides you with all the necessary materials, but this is a good spot to consider making a new save. If you mess up the forging process, you can just reload your save instead of having to gather new materials or restart the quest.
  4. 4
Interact with the furnace and heat the workpiece until it reaches a bright straw yellow color.
  5. 5
Next, move over to the anvil. You'll need to strike the workpiece with your hammer. Aim to create a large spark with each hit, and make sure to slightly move the workpiece after each strike.
  • Upon successfully forging the Competition Hunting Sword, return to Zdminir to complete the quest. You'll be rewarded with 200 Groschen. If you wish to keep the weapon you just forged, you can do so by choosing the dialogue option “Do you really want to try me?” when speaking with Scholar Matthias.
