Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for the Skeleton in the Closet quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, guiding you through Cuman camp infiltration and chest recovery.
Walkthrough
- 1Start the Quest: Progress the main story until you complete the 'Storm' quest, which allows access to Kuttenberg. After completing the 'Bellatores' quest, wait approximately 3-5 in-game days. Return to the Ruins of Zimburg, located in the forests south of Bylany. Speak to Jan Posy to initiate the next steps.
- 2Infiltrate the Cuman Camp: You will automatically travel with Jan and Tugbone to the Cuman camp. The objective is to eliminate the Cumans and find the stolen chest. Convince Jan to let you handle the infiltration solo. It is advisable to change the time of day to night, as some Cumans will be asleep. Utilize stealth by moving around the edges of the camp. Use Rocks to lure individual Cumans away from their posts for stealth kills. Dispose of bodies to avoid detection.
- 3Deal with the Central Group: The Cumans in the center of the camp, especially those sitting down, are the most challenging. It is best to leave them for last. You can either have Mutt attack one while you engage the other, or charge in to draw attention. This will trigger Jan and Tugbone to join the fight, allowing you to outnumber the remaining enemies.
- 4Find the Stolen Chest: After clearing the camp, locate the large tent. Inside, you will find a chest with a Medium difficulty lock. Successfully pick the lock to find the Zimburg reliquary, which is the stolen chest.
- 5Complete the Quest: Return to Jan Posy with the Zimburg reliquary. He will explain the backstory and reward you with 150 Groschen. Jan will also continue to serve as a Master level trainer.
