Start the Quest: Talk to Bozhena after the Troskowitz main quest events. She is worried about the missing Pavlena and will ask for your help.

Search Pavlena’s Room: Before leaving for Troskowitz, search Pavlena’s room in Bozhena’s hut. Look at the clothes on the stool, the half-finished basket, and the archery target to deduce that Pavlena did not plan to leave.

Head to Troskowitz: Prepare yourself with good clothing, Fox Potions, and perfume if desired, then travel to Troskowitz. The entire town is a search area.

Learn about Roman: Ask townsfolk, including hired hands and housemaids. Gerda, near the alchemist’s shop, should point you towards a woodcutter named Roman.

Talk to Woodcutter Dushko: Find him on the eastern end of Troskowitz, near the tailor and butcher shops. He will reveal that Roman and Pavlena are romantically involved and that Roman has been absent from work. Succeed at a speech check to learn about Pavlena’s condition, which is crucial for later dialogue choices. You can also attempt another speech check to convince Dushko to give you 25 groschen for searching Roman’s house.

Ask the Bailiff about Pavlena: Speak to Svatya Thrush (a guard), who will refer you to Bailiff Thrush. The Bailiff can be found wandering town or near the scribe’s house and tavern. He will provide details about a botched birthing and Roman’s family situation.

Search Roman’s House: Break into Roman’s house to search for clues.

Find the Clearing Dushko Mentioned: Dushko may mention a specific clearing. Search this area for further clues.

Confront Straw: You will likely encounter an individual named Straw. Dialogue and speech checks will be important here.

Find Pavlena at the Gorge: Follow the leads to locate Pavlena at a gorge.

Resolve the Feud Between Bozhena and Jakesh: The quest culminates in resolving a dispute between Bozhena and Jakesh. Your dialogue choices, informed by earlier discoveries (like Pavlena’s condition), will determine the outcome.
