Frogs Walkthrough

To start the Frogs quest, travel to Zhelejov during the day and find Old Olbram. He will ask you to steal the Tachov maypole as a prank. Key objectives are to chop down the top of the maypole to get the wreath, avoid getting caught, and do not murder anyone.

Head to Tachov and visit the inn. Speak with Innkeeper Prochek, Innkeeper Voyka, and Manka. Discuss the maypole to learn about Henik, who is courting Manka. Her parents want you to beat him up, while Manka wants to meet him privately.

Deal with Henik, who is located near a house south of the maypole. You have two options:

Pick a Fight: Talk to Henik and provoke him by asking about his brothers, then select the dialogue option _”So when will you run off?”_. Fight Henik. Wearing armor gives a significant advantage. After he quits, you gain reputation with Manka's parents but lose reputation with Manka. Old Olbram will give you 25 groschen for beating him up.

Arrange a Date: Talk to Henik and avoid mentioning his brothers. Select _”I talked to Manka about you.”_ then _”I’ll take over for you, so you two can go out.”_. Talk to Manka, then return to Henik to finalize the plan. Wait until 22:00, talk to Henik again, and send him off on his date.

After dealing with Henik, rest at the maypole until around 24:00. Ensure the area is clear of guards and other NPCs. Climb the maypole. A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play.

After the cutscene, pick up the Tachov maypole from the ground. Henry does not automatically collect it.

Sneak away from Tachov and return to Zhelejov. Wait until morning (around 8:00) for Old Olbram to wake up.

Give the maypole to Old Olbram. He will reward you with 45 groschen. If you beat up Henik, you will receive an additional 25 groschen, for a total of 70 groschen.
