The King's Gambit Quest Walkthrough

Find Mint Master Vavek: After rescuing Hans Capon, you'll be tasked with infiltrating a King Sigismund gathering in Kuttenberg. Locate Mint Master Vavek at his house northeast of the City Baths.

Gain Access to the Council: Speak to the guard at Vavek's house, claim you have an appointment, and convince Vavek to help you get into the assembly. He suggests impersonating his cook. You can attempt a Hard Speech check to get Groschen from him.

Obtain Certificate and Clothes: Vavek reveals his cook, Franta, attends the eastern market during the day or a tavern in the evening. Find Franta in the eastern market (objective "C"). Agree to take his place, passing a Speech check (Medium difficulty: "I have important news for the King!") to avoid paying 1000 Groschen. Franta will give you the certificate and clothes.

Serve the Councillors: Go to the city council, equip the provided clothes (and shoes), and speak to Majordomo. Tell him Franta is drunk and learn the necessary etiquette. Failing etiquette checks can lead to a Game Over.

Pour Wine and Listen: During the assembly, you must pour wine correctly and listen to the meeting.

Stand your ground unless called to pour.

The wine is on a table behind your starting position. Return the pitcher after pouring.

Remember: Tokaji Wine = White Wine, Monastic or Monastery Wine = Red Wine.

When called, hold the button to look at the councillor before pouring.

If Adam of Zarzitz requests something, say "I'm forbidden."

Retrieve Stolen Goblet: Bailiff Andreas Plumel will ask you to find a stolen silver goblet in his office (upstairs near the wine table). Retrieve it and return it to him.

Retrieve Gloves: Franz Rosenthal will ask you to retrieve his gloves from the chapel (the other room near the wine table). Get them and return them to him. His other request has no consequence.

Continue Serving: After these tasks, resume your duties until a scene concludes the assembly.
