Opus Magnum Walkthrough

Starting Opus Magnum: Speak to Miller Kreyzl after completing Forbidden Fruit. He reveals his plan to steal a book from Trosky Castle, requiring Henry to act as a bodyguard for a woman who will distract Chamberlain Ulrich. The necessary items are a willing woman, a suitable dress, perfume, and Henry's best clothes.

Get Perfume: Head to Troskowitz. You can obtain Mintha perfume from the alchemist by buying the recipe and brewing it yourself (recommended if proficient in Alchemy), or from Innkeeper Betty. Betty offers it for 500 groschen or requires a difficult Speech check. Alternatively, you can steal a bottle from her chest (hard lock) or pickpocket her.

Get a Dress: Visit Tailor Bartoshek in Troskowitz. Purchase a Tyrol brocade cotehardie for approximately 270 groschen (haggling possible). Alternatively, pick the lock to his house at night (hard lock) and steal the dress from the counter. Consider acquiring better clothes for Henry to improve his Charisma.

Recruit a Lady Companion: Travel to the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn and speak with Bathhouse Owner Dorothy. Her girls are unwilling to engage with Chamberlain Ulrich due to his reputation. Dorothy suggests looking for a nomad woman named Enneleyn. Go to the Nomad Camp and find Enneleyn, likely near the horses or pond. Convince her to join Kreyzl's scheme. She may request wine (optional); Fine Wine can be bought from innkeepers. Once you provide the dress, perfume, and optionally wine, she will agree to go to the wedding.

Wedding Crashers and For Whom the Bell Tolls: After departing for the wedding with Enneleyn, this quest becomes intertwined with the main quest Wedding Crashers. The route taken to the wedding can affect parts of Wedding Crashers. Complete Wedding Crashers and then For Whom the Bell Tolls. The latter quest leads to Castle Trosky, but exploration for Kreyzl's book is limited due to time constraints and NPC availability. Continue playing until the Back in the Saddle quest begins.
