Choose Your Raiders & Interrogate the Prisoner: First things first, Zizka needs you to pick some guys to go with Dry Devil on a raid. You get there by going right from the main courtyard gate, down some stairs. Try to get the info without resorting to torture if you can; it's more rewarding. The main thing you need to learn is what their camp's weak points are. You can also try to find out who their commander is and what happened to von Markvart, but the camp weaknesses are key for the raid.

Prepare for the Raid: Once you've got the intel, it's time to get ready for the big raid. Make sure you've got your gear sorted, especially healing items like Marigold decoctions. If you haven't eaten from the pot, do it now. This next part is a ranged battle, so if your Marksmanship skill isn't top-notch, consider chugging a Bowman's brew from the Alchemy bench to give it a temporary boost.

The Raid from the Battlements: Head up to the walls and talk to Hans. He'll ask if you're ready and, if you don't have a ranged weapon, he'll give you either a Bow or a Crossbow. Both are solid choices for this stage. Once you're set, the battle begins. You'll start by facing soldiers at the barricade right in front of you. Aim and start firing to give Dry Devil's team a chance to advance. A bow is quicker than a crossbow, so if you're not super accurate, the slower reload of the crossbow might get you hit. Remember that arrows and bolts drop, so aim a little higher than you think you need to. If you're missing a lot, don't sweat it; Hans and the others will help out.

Dealing with Different Threats: After the first group, you'll need to deal with shooters coming from the right. Then, eventually, you'll face enemy pavisiers. These guys are the last wave, so wait for them to move out from behind their shields before you take them down. Nail them, and the raid is a success.

Report to Zizka: With the raid done and the enemy thrown off balance, it's time to report in. Find Zizka in the dining room. After you've given him the rundown, head back to your bed and get some rest. This will advance time, wrap up the 'Besieged' quest, and kick off the 'Hunger and Despair' quest.
