Into the Underworld Quest Walkthrough

Find Katherine: First things first, you need to find Katherine. Head east in Kuttenberg, past the second tailor shop. You'll spot the Hangman's Halter Tavern on your right (south side). Go inside, and you'll see Katherine moving around, serving folks. Talk to her and ask about what Zizka told her regarding Liechtenstein.

Katherine will mention that one of her co-workers has a lover named Goatskin who hangs out at a rough tavern. Apparently, Goatskin bragged about spying for a rich lord after getting money from somewhere unexpected. Katherine wants you to check this out, so agree to investigate Goatskin. The tavern he frequents is called 'The Hole in the Wall' in the Hoprink quarter. Before you head out, Katherine will ask why everyone's looking for Liechtenstein. Just pick one of the top two dialogue options, and then make your way to 'The Hole in the Wall'.

The Hole in the Wall Location: Once you exit the Hangman's Halter, follow the path southeast. You'll find 'The Hole in the Wall' on your left, just past an intersection. Look for a guy leaning against the wall outside – that's Knuckles. Talk to him and say you're looking for Goatskin. He'll point you to Chenyek, who's inside the tavern, sitting at a table in front of a skeleton.

Find Goatskin (via Chenyek): Go talk to Chenyek. He knows Goatskin but won't spill any beans easily. You've got a couple of tough speech checks you can try, or you can just pay him 200 Groschens. However, if you offer to help him out with something, you can skip the speech checks and the payment, but you'll have to do a favor for him first.

Chenyek's favor involves beating up a guy named Goliath in a fistfight. You'll find the barn where this is happening by exiting the tavern through the right door and heading east. Important: Before you can fight Goliath, you *must* remove all your equipment. The easiest way is to go into your inventory, change to an outfit with nothing equipped, and then you can switch back after the fight.

Goliath isn't too tough. Just block his punches and use combos. Once you've put him down, find Chenyek in the barn. He'll mention his buddy Mole runs fights out of the tavern if you're interested, then he'll tell you what you need to know about Goatskin. Turns out, Goatskin's been missing for days after getting jumped by some guys, some of whom were Jewish. Chenyek suggests looking for him on the paths between Hradek and the Horse Market at night, as Goatskin tends to rob drunks.

This is still pretty vague, so ask Chenyek about the alehouses on Goatskin's usual route. He'll mention the Black Horse Tavern (between Hradek and the Horse Market) and the City Bathhouse (southeast of the tavern) as places Goatskin frequents. Both are in the southwest part of Kuttenberg. Before you leave, ask Chenyek about the job he has for you to kick off the 'Feast for the Poor' side quest.

Set a Trap for Goatskin: The Black Horse Tavern won't be much help, but the City Bathhouse will. Head to the bathhouse, located near the southwest exit of town. Find Adam, the guy wearing the red hat. He'll ask for your help if you find Goatskin because Goatskin stole from his customers. Ask Adam what he wants, and he'll tell you he needs you to find his client, Jan Schindel's, stolen items. Adam isn't sure exactly what was stolen, but it has something to do with constellations and Latin. Agree to help him, and you'll start the activity 'Master Schindel's Toys'.
