The Dragonforged is a special vendor in Dragon's Dogma 2 who offers unique services and powerful equipment. He can be found in two main locations throughout the game: the Bay Wayside Shrine during the main story and the Seafloor Shrine - Sacred Grounds in the post-game.

The Dragonforged Bay Wayside Shrine Location

During the main game, The Dragonforged is found at the Bay Wayside Shrine. The main quest 'Flickering Shadows' will eventually lead you to him, which occurs when you reach Battahl. For players who wish to reach him earlier, it's possible by traversing the dangerous Guerco Cavern. From Checkpoint Rest Town, head north, then east past the intersection. Continue east until you find a bridge to the north, cross it, and keep following the winding eastern road. Ignore side paths until you reach the 'Bridge of Theodracus the Second'. Backtrack slightly and head south to find Guerco Cavern. This cavern is a tunnel filled with enemies like Goblins, Bandits, and Golems, but you can outrun most of them. After exiting the Cliffside Cave (an extension of Guerco Cavern), you'll encounter some houses and bandits. Turn left behind the first house on your left and ascend the grassy slope. Continue east past a large hole and head to the eastern edge of the cliff. Look for ledges leading down to the Bay Wayside Shrine. Enter the cave and take the west path to find The Dragonforged.

Additionally, The Dragonforged offers Wyrmfire Smithing, which can enhance equipment one rank beyond its maximum (three ranks total). This process significantly boosts the equipment's effectiveness and halves its weight.

The Dragonforged Post-Game Location

Once you enter The Unmoored World for the first time, you will appear on the path west of the Seafloor Shrine. In the post-game, this area transforms as the water recedes. The quest 'Halls of the First Dawn' guides you to the new hub area, Seafloor Shrine - Sacred Grounds. After speaking with Rothais, the first step of the quest, the hub opens up, and The Dragonforged appears in the center. This location offers the best equipment available in the game.

Acquiring this gear requires a significant amount of Wyrmslife Crystals (WLC). These can be obtained by defeating Purgener battles (Pillar of Lights) and dragons in The Unmoored World.

The Dragonforged New Game Plus Changes

After completing the game and entering New Game Plus, The Dragonforged returns to the Bay Wayside Shrine. He retains his post-game shop inventory and gains new features. One new service is 'Receive Blessing,' which offers one of four temporary boons that last for a day, each costing 30 WLC.
