Mercy Among Thieves Walkthrough

After crossing the border into Battahl, find guards Saverio and Tobias near the Checkpoint Rest Town who are discussing the Coral Snakes. They will direct you to Lyssandro, who is outside a nearby stable. Speak with Lyssandro and agree to help stop the Coral Snakes.

Follow the main road south and speak with Seferinno to learn more about the bandit attacks.

Continue south along the main road, looking for clues. You will encounter Seferinno again just south of Beren’s Childhood Home, who will confirm the Coral Snakes are in Battahl.

Further south, past the Enoa’Battahl Forest, you will find ruins on high ground to your right, near a bridge over a river. Speak with Hayne, who survived a recent oxcart raid.

Continue past the river and you will find the remains of a sacked oxcart and a campsite. Engage the bandits there.

Chase one of the bandits, Hugo, into a cave to the southwest. He will lead you to the Coral Snakes’ Hideout.

After a series of scenes, you will reach the gates of the Coral Snakes’ Hideout. Defeat the two bandits outside the gate.

Enter the Coral Snakes’ Hideout and pursue Hugo. Kill the bandits you encounter along the way.

Hugo will destroy a bridge behind him; take a longer route by following the walkway northwest, finding a side passage to loop around an obstruction, and continuing north to a bridge.

Cross the bridge, head southeast, and enter a door on the left.

Follow a tunnel and pass through a gate. Climb scaffolding to loot a chest containing a Ring of Disfavor and 1,050G.

Continue to a large chamber open to the sky. Benjamin and his soldiers will arrive to help you fight the numerous bandits.

Clear out all the bandits in the chamber. Search for chests, paying attention to a side passage along the southern edge that leads to an ornate chest containing a Decapitator.

Pursue Hugo down a side passage in the southwestern corner into a smaller chamber to the east.

After a scene, Hugo will be taken into custody by Benjamin. The quest will conclude.
