Unlocking Maister Skills: Complete Maister side quests and build affection. If affection is still low, give gifts (Wyrmslife Crystals, Bundles of Flowers) or complete escort quests. Escort quests can be random, with NPCs appearing at your home or needing to be found.

Beren (Warrior - Arc of Might): Complete 'Claw Them Into Shape' (early game, north of Melve) and 'Beren's Final Lesson' (after 'Seat of the Sovran' in Vernworth). After the latter, return to Moonglow Garden, kill a Cyclops, rest, and talk to Beren. He moves to Battahl. Obtain the Battahl Border Entry Permit to cross the gate easily. Find his Childhood Home on the left side of the road. Give gifts and/or escort him to receive the 'Champion's Fable' scroll for Arc of Might.

Flaude (Thief - Blades of the Pyre): This skill is obtained during the main quest 'The Nameless Village'. Travel to the Nameless Village and explore the Old Noble Manor. Meet Flaude, exhaust his dialogue, and receive the 'Legend's Opus' scroll for Blades of the Pyre. Changing to the Thief vocation beforehand is recommended.

Trysha (Mage - Celestial Paean, Sorcerer - Meteoron) & Myrddin (Sorcerer - Maelstrom): These skills are tied to the quests 'The Sorcerer's Appraisal' and 'Spellbound'. Both quests involve collecting five specific tomes for either Myrddin or Trysha. Giving the tomes to Myrddin grants Maelstrom. Giving them to Trysha grants Celestial Paean and Meteoron. To obtain all three skills in one playthrough, gather all five tomes and forge duplicates at Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in Checkpoint Rest Town. This is costly and time-consuming.
