Out of the Forest, Into the Forge Walkthrough

Speak to Doireann in Sacred Arbor about the dwarf's taste in cuisine.

Gather a rotten apple and a rotten fish. These can be found in Sacred Arbor's waters (fish) and on bushes or dropped by enemies like Goblins and Harpies (apples) throughout Vermund. If you don't have rotten ones, place one of each in your inventory and pass time on a bench until they spoil.

Return to Doireann with the rotten ingredients. She will reluctantly create Nutriabh.

Escort Doireann from Sacred Arbor to Brokkr's Forge in Bakbattahl. Having Portcrystals in both locations will significantly speed up travel.

Upon arrival in Bakbattahl, speak to Sara, who will lead you to Stragglers' Cave.

Enter Stragglers' Cave and collect six piles of Scalecinder within approximately four minutes, before Brokkr finishes consuming the Nutriabh.

From the entrance, head east to a fork, then north to the end of the passage.

Backtrack to the main tunnel and follow it northeast to a second fork south. Follow this passage to the end.

Continue east in the main tunnel a short distance and smash crates and a vase.

At the cave's end, find a platform with a ladder. Search the southern end near wooden debris.

Head to the northern end of the platform and smash crates and urns.

Search the western edge of the chamber next to indestructible crates.

Enemies in the cave include Spiders and Rats. A Thief vocation can be faster for smashing obstacles.

Once time is up, hand over the collected Scalecinder to Doireann.
