How to Rebuild Harve Village: To Scaly Invaders Walkthrough

Alright, so you want to get Harve Village back on its feet in Dragon's Dogma 2? It's a bit of a puzzle, and the game doesn't make it super clear at first. You might think heading straight to Harve to deal with the saurians is the way to go for the Scaly Invaders quest, but that's actually a dead end for rebuilding. You'll meet Fyoran, who'll ask you to clear out some saurians, but unless you do something else, the village will never actually get rebuilt.

The real trick is that you also need to kick off and complete the Monster Culling quest. This quest isn't directly about Harve, but one of its objectives takes you right to the village. You start Monster Culling by chatting with Captain Brant in The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth. If you do Monster Culling first and then head to Harve, you'll naturally trigger Scaly Invaders too, saving you a trip back to Vernworth later.

The key part of Monster Culling for Harve's restoration happens in Stormwind Cave. You need to rescue Hollis and his crew from the saurians there. Once that's done, the clock finally starts ticking for Fyoran's rebuilding promise. After a few in-game days pass, head back to Harve Village.

When you return, you'll find that despite your efforts, the saurians are back for a second round! This time, both Fyoran and the village mayor, Jonas, will ask you to clear them out. Take care of this second infestation around the village.

After you've dealt with both the initial surface saurians for Scaly Invaders and the nest in Stormwind Cave for Monster Culling, and then handled the second wave in Harve, you'll have a chat with Fyoran and Jonas. This conversation officially wraps up the Scaly Invaders quest. You'll snag 1,800 XP, 6x Saurian Scales, and 5,000G as your reward. The village still isn't fully rebuilt, but you've made significant progress and unlocked the next step in the Harve Village storyline, which is Trouble in the Cape.
