Learn how to complete The Sotted Sage quest in Dragon's Dogma 2. Find Newt Liqueur locations and unlock the Warfarer Vocation.

The Sotted Sage quest can be a bit confusing because your quest log doesn't make it clear what Lamond needs. Don't worry, you just need to bring him more Newt Liqueur.

Newt Liqueur isn't super common, but you might already have some by the time you reach Agamen Volcanic Island. If you're short, you can find one at the Windwalker's Home on the island itself. Alternatively, three bottles can be purchased from Higgs' Tavern in Bakbattahl. To get into Higgs' Tavern, you'll need a Beastren Mask, which you can get from the Forgery in the Checkpoint Rest Town. Once you have the mask, head to Bakbattahl and move the sandbags outside the tavern door into the pen. This will get you invited inside, where you can buy the rest of the Newt Liqueur you need.

After you've gathered the Newt Liqueur, head back to Agamen Volcanic Island, making sure to pass through Drabnir's Grotto. Once you're back with Lamond, hand over the Newt Liqueur to complete the quest.

Pro-Tip: Since there are no default fast travel points on Agamen Volcanic Island or in Bakbattahl, it's a really good idea to place a Portcrystal in both locations. This will give you much more flexibility for fast traveling around the southern part of the map.

Keep in mind that reaching Agamen Volcanic Island often requires upgraded gear, boosted stats, and a high-rank Vocation, so you might need to progress further into the game before you can tackle this quest.

Completing The Sotted Sage not only finishes the quest but also unlocks the Warfarer Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2. This is a unique class that lets you mix and match weapons and abilities from other vocations, so it's definitely worth pursuing!
