Save your game and open the Koronus Expanse Map. Ravor will inform you of approaching hostile ships.

Order your voidship to prepare for combat. You will face two Cobra Class Destroyers, each with 50 hull integrity and 35 shields per side. Follow the in-game tutorials to defeat them. You will earn 1660 ship XP, 32 scrap, and trophies. This encounter unlocks the Rookie Skipper trophy for first-time players. Other ship combat trophies include Void Wolf (10 wins) and Purge the Unclean (defeating one of each enemy type).

Use acquired scrap to repair your voidship's hull if necessary.

Before docking at Footfall, scan the nearby Ash World in the Furibundus System for XP. There is nothing to do at Altar-Templum-Calixis-Ext-17.

Travel to the Drusus's Blessing vessel and speak with Chartist Captain Austerius Thorfast of the Imperial Navy faction. The Imperial Navy sells voidship components and buys Ship Components and trophies from ship battles. Purchase rank 0 items if your Profit Factor allows.

Begin your journey to Footfall. If you rescued refugees from Rykad Minoris, you will be interrupted by Janris regarding the refugees' deaths. Abelard will explain these are suicides caused by trauma, and Heinrix will comment on his prior warning.

Upon reaching Footfall, select Void Dock Alpha-Rho. Note that Heinrix cannot be added to your party at this time.

As you exit your shuttle at Void Dock Alpha-Rho, a Liege Representative will greet you. If Idira is present, she will warn you of an impending attack. A group of Anver Thugs, led by Bloodstained Amelia, will then attack, shooting the Liege Representative.

Defeat Bloodstained Amelia (125 Wounds, 0 Deflection, 20% Armour, 77% Dodge, 8 MP, WS: 50, BS: 65, STR: 50, TGH: 60, AGI: 45, INT: 25, PER: 40, WP: 25, FEL: 50) and her twelve Anver Thugs and four Armoured Anvers. Killing Amelia causes her allies to gain an extra attack; leaving her alive buffs their Weapon Skill and Ballistic Skill. Prioritize eliminating nearby thugs before focusing on Amelia.

After the fight, question a servant about the attack and send him to report to the Liege.

Make your way to the northern part of the area, above where Bloodstained Amelia was, and search under a platform to find a Strange Memo.

Examine nearby crates (Commerce +35) for XP. Find more crates nearby containing a Psyconductive Frame psyber-raven accessory and other minor loot.

Proceed to the dock in the southwest area and speak with Opticon-22. He is authorized to make trade deals and settle an outstanding payment to the von Valancius dynasty.

You can either waive the debt for +5000 reputation with the Explorators (recommended as you will have spare extractiums) or accept two Mobile Extractiums as payment.

To initiate On the Hunt for Knowledge, tell Opticon-22 you seek the friendship of the Adeptus Mechanicus. This requires studying ten planets (you should have studied four by this point). Asking him why he wants information about other planets unlocks the Hotbed of Xenoheresy rumour.

Opticon-22, as the Explorators' trade representative, has an updated stock of items from the previous chapter.

Head along the southern perimeter and locate an unreachable chest.

The passage to the chest is locked with a combination lock. The clues are in the Strange Memo:

• "The holy book by the altar": Found at the shrine to St. Drusus in the northeast, examine the book "Life of Saint Drusus Volume Three".

"That void-damn customs guy": Located in the east, find Rank 5 Functionary Morbetio Kavalli at a customs desk. Look for an Adeptus Arbites Helmet nearby.

"Hangar by the Window": Read the sign on the hangar in the northeast: "Hangar A 1".

The clues provide the sequence 3, 5, ?, 1. Since Button 2 is broken, the correct combination is 3, 5, 4, 1.

This combination opens the container, allowing you to retrieve a Fireproof Cape, a pair of Interrogation Goggles, and the Psyker's Footwear.
