Develop five colony worlds in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, including Foulstone and Janus, by undertaking projects to increase Profit Factor and colony statistics.
There are five colony worlds you can develop in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader: Foulstone in the Trinnitos system, Janus in the Teikos Epsilon system, Dargonus in the Mundus Valancius system, Kiava Gamma in the Cranach system, and Vheabos VI in the Mortus Acies system.
Colony Projects
After taking control of a colony, you can undertake projects to develop it. These projects generate material rewards and increase your Profit Factor (a measure of your wealth and influence). They may also increase one of three colony statistics:
- Efficiency: +10% resources produced for each point of Efficiency.
- Security: Affects the colony's ability to deal with negative events.
- Complacency: Each point increases the Profit Factor produced by the colony by +10% and decreases the time required to complete projects by -10%.
There is a trophy for completing a Tier 5 project.
Colony Events
As you unlock development tiers by completing specific projects, you will experience a "rank up" event where you must tackle a problem that has arisen on a colony. Ask your companions for their opinions to unlock the best options.
Besides the rank-up events, random events will intermittently pop up. You need to visit the colony world to address these. These events are not tied to specific colonies and are mostly negative, degrading colony statistics and/or Profit Factor. You do not need to drop everything to attend to them.
