Walkthrough for the "Death and Tithes" quest in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, including finding Solomorne and securing the Koronus Expanse tithe.
Walkthrough
- 1Travel to Mortus Acies and land on Vheabos VI. Speak to the Senior Jailer.
- 2If you ask the Senior Jailer why he is disturbed, he will explain that Solomorne is very diligent.
- 3Ask for more details, and he will state that Solomorne has made the place unbearable and begs you to take him away.
- 4Head into the pits and open a locked (Tech-Use -25) crate to find the Tactica Imperialis Excerpt accessory.
- 5Look for a hidden (Awareness -60) crate containing a pair of Shield-Bearer's Boots.
- 6Go to the platform in the northwest to find Solomorne fighting prisoners.
- 7You can ask Solomorne what happened. He was sent on a mission that resulted in the loss of ten Arbitrators and was sent to Vheabos VI instead of being executed.
- 8Tell Solomorne to get a hold of himself. He will protest his guilt.
- 9Tell him to pull himself together. He will state he cannot cope with lying governors, corruption, and xenos consorting with humans. He cannot bear to look at himself as an Arbitrator who no longer believes in the Lex Imperialis.
- 10Reply that you aren't leaving without him. If you have Dogmatic - Votary, you can say the Emperor laid a burden on him he is equal to. Otherwise, make Commerce (-25) and Coercion (-25) checks to help him.
- 11After Solomorne returns to the voidship, search a nearby crate for the Ruby Splash amulet.
- 12After fetching Solomorne (if needed) and completing the Hunting Grounds and Lair of the Homunculus quests, Vigdis will announce that Marshall Strachs requests your presence at the Administratum Palace.
- 13Go to the Administratum Palace to find Strachs and Inscribia.
- 14Strachs will explain that the sacred tithe from the Koronus Expanse is in danger and you are the only one who can deal with it.
- 15The state of disorder in the Expanse threatens Leethus, a clandestine world used to store the tithe. The warp storm has caused sacred tribute to build up. You need to go to Leethus and bring the tithe to Dargonus for safekeeping.
- 16Tell Strachs you will go at once, and he will give you the secret coordinates.
- 17Travel to Hundred Dreams Crossroads, then to Orsellio Prophecy and Adermatt II.
- 18Find the red route to the Stars of Martianus system. Make the route as safe as you care to and travel to Leethus, the second closest world to the sun.
- 19Land at Storage Sector LZ-3017 on Leethus.
- 20After leaving the shuttle, examine a nearby body (Medicae -25) for XP.
- 21Make your way west to find guardsmen behaving strangely.
- 22Examine the barricade and make an Athletics (-25) check to obtain the Death Hymn knife.
- 23Examine a large crate to find a pair of Slow March of Death boots.
- 24Speak to Captain Walz, who says they have been waiting for you.
- 25Solomorne will demand to speak to the sergeant in command, but Walz states they strung him up, as the Arbites serve the Riven Sky and nothing good comes from there.
- 26Walz is insane, and conflict is unavoidable. Walz is accompanied by nine Guardsmen and four Demolitionists. The fight has two phases; the second phase begins after Walz dies.
- 27When Walz dies, Solomorne will announce a change of plan: use the tank to destroy the counterweights holding the containers and cut off reinforcements.
- 28Announce that this is a task for a Rogue Trader to unlock the related trophy.
- 29If your main character is also your main damage dealer, you may want to reload a recent save.
- 30Operate the tank or use your own attacks to destroy the three attachment points.
- 31If using the tank, use the consoles to power it up.
- 32Prioritize Tank Demolitionist enemies to prevent them from destroying the tank.
- 33After destroying all three attachment points and defeating remaining enemies, the fight concludes.
Tips
- Thin the initial numbers of enemies before engaging Captain Walz, as the fight has two phases.
- Consider using your own attacks to destroy the attachment points instead of the tank for a more straightforward approach.
