Cold Trader's Acumen

Jae receives bonuses based on faction reputation, as follows:

• Drusians: +(reputation)% to all resistance tests and +(2 x reputation) to Lore: Imperium
• Explorators: +(reputation)% to armour and +(2 x reputation) to Tech-Use
• Fellowship of the Void: +(reputation)% to critical hit chance and +(2 x reputation) to Coercion
• Imperial Navy: +(reputation)% to cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) efficiency (the ability to use objects for protection during combat) and +(2 x reputation) to Persuasion
• Kasballica Mission: +(reputation)% to dodge and parry and +(2 x reputation) to Commerce (trading and negotiation).

Note that this talent is bugged and doesn't give most of the bonuses that it is supposed to.

Gunslinger

When Jae is fighting with weapons in both hands, the attack from the second hand doesn't cost additional Action Points (AP).

Never Play Fair

Jae uses the higher of Fellowship (social abilities) and Intelligence (knowledge and reasoning) for Intelligence-based skills and can re-roll failed Commerce checks.

Since you are unlikely to give Cassia Officer abilities and talents, Jae is the better of the companion Officers, despite a couple of questionable choices made on your behalf. She is also naturally the most skilled companion, able to handle most skill checks in the game. This build has her branch out into Tech-Use, Logic and Lore (Xenos) but if you need Medicae, for example, make the necessary adjustments.

It is better to play to Jae's strengths rather than trying to turn her into a damage dealer. Since she generates a lot of momentum, you can take Master Tactician as her advanced Archetype. However, compared to Abelard, Argenta, Heinrix and Yrliet (and, in all likelihood, the Rogue Trader), her damage output is likely to be mediocre so she is generally better off giving an extra turn to a more damaging companion (or even Cassia) than she is shooting her own weapons. To this end, Grand Strategist is taken as the advanced archetype. Going first, Jae can set up a killzone around a bunch of enemies and then hand over to someone else to execute the strategy.
