How to Level Up Quickly

Alright, so you want to level up quickly in Hogwarts Legacy? I get it, sometimes the main story just isn't enough, or maybe you're aiming for those sweet trophies. Reaching level 34 for the ending is a grind, and hitting level 40 for all the traits and trophies? That's a whole other beast. Luckily, there are plenty of activities that give you a nice chunk of experience points (XP) to speed things up.

Here are the main ways you'll be earning XP:

• Popping Balloons
• Side Quests
• Finding Field Guide Pages
• Capturing and Breeding Beasts
• Battling Enemies

Something important to note is that the amount of XP you get from these tasks doesn't change based on your level. Also, just fighting random enemies isn't super efficient. For example, catching a Puffskein, which is one of the easiest beasts, actually gives you more XP (80 points) than beating a whole group of spiders (which might only give you 10-20 points). So, it pays to be strategic about what you're doing!

On the flip side, some activities won't give you any XP at all. Things like decorating your Room of Requirement, opening collection chests, or solving treasure vaults don't directly give you experience. The only XP you'll get from those is through completing challenges associated with them.

The Quickest Way to Level Up

Sometimes leveling up can feel like it slows down, especially later in the game. But we've crunched the numbers, and there's a clear winner for efficiency: Field Guide Pages. Each page is worth 80 XP, and if you use a guide to grab them quickly, it's a pretty straightforward process. Collecting all 186 pages will net you around 16,000 XP, which is a huge boost!

If hunting for pages sounds a bit tedious, don't worry, there's another great option: the Battle Arenas. There are two in the base game, and a third if you have the deluxe edition. These arenas are fantastic for farming enemies. You'll get XP for defeating them, plus you can complete challenges within the arena for even more. You even get bonus XP after each wave, no matter the difficulty. Combining a few rounds in the battle arena with some side quests is a solid way to reach level 34, which should take you about 40 to 50 hours of playtime.
