How to Start Venomous Valour

First things first, you need to have finished Professor Hecat's Assignment 1. That assignment pops up after you complete the main quest called 'The Locket's Secret'. Once that's done, find Duncan Hobbhouse. He hangs out on the first floor of the Defence Against the Dark Art Tower. He'll ask you to head over to the Hidden Herbology Corridor to grab some proof for him. Easy peasy.

After chatting with Duncan, just follow the waypoint on your mini-map. It'll lead you towards the Hogwarts Grounds. You'll spot a doorway blocked by some pesky branches. To get through, you'll need to use Incendio. Just hold down the button to aim it and blast those branches away. On PlayStation, that's usually the R2 button, and on Xbox, it's the RT button.

Getting Through the Hidden Herbology Corridor

After that, head back downstairs and keep following the path westward. You'll need to shoot some wooden objects blocking your way. Then, light up the braziers around the small pool of water to get rid of even more vines, and open up another chest for some more loot.

Now, head back to the other side and go through the doorway to the south. You're looking for a Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf. Just interact with it. After that, climb up the ladder nearby, and you'll find yourself in the Greenhouse. That's pretty much it! Just return to Duncan Hobbhouse, hand over the leaf, and the quest will wrap up.
