In total, there are 15 Butterflies in Hogwarts Legacy. This guide details the locations of the remaining 14 butterflies to help you find them easily. Screenshots and map pins are provided for each region.

North Hogwarts Butterfly Locations

An overview of all the Butterflies in the north of the Highlands.

1. Pitt-Upon-Ford: Take the eastern road out of the Pitt-Upon-Ford Hamlet.
2. Forbidden Forest: Travel to Jack Daw’s Tomb, then fly northeast over the pond. Head east towards the mountain and slightly north to find butterflies near a Poacher camp.
3. Hogsmeade: Travel east from Hogsmeade towards a large hill. Follow the southern section of the road that heads up the hill to find butterflies near a Merlin Trial.
4. North Hogwarts Region: Follow the large stream in the North Hogwarts area. Butterflies are located on the northern bank partway through.

South Hogwarts, Valley, & Feldcroft Butterfly Locations

The largest bulk of the Butterfly locations in Hogwarts Legacy comes from the central part of the Highlands. Below are specific notes and images of their exact locations.

1. Quidditch Pitch Cliffs: In the southwest area of the Quidditch Stadium, near a Merlin Trail and a natural stone archway.
2. Aranshire: Southwest of the Aranshire Hamlet, near a Merlin Trial.
3. Brocburrow Viaduct: West of Brocburrow Hamlet, below the train viaduct.
4. West Keenbridge: Travel along the western road from Keenbridge Hamlet towards the northern cliffs. Butterflies are near trees next to the road.
5. Keenbridge Ruin: Southeast of Keenbridge, next to a stream flowing from the east. Find butterflies on the stream’s northern bank near the ruin.
6. Feldcroft North: North of Rookwood castle, on the cliff edge facing the castle.
7. Feldcroft Catacombs: From the Catacombs Floo Flame, travel southeast along the cliff’s edge. Butterflies are above the loyalist camp.

All South Highland Butterfly Locations in Hogwarts Legacy

The final few butterfly locations are in the very southern area of the map.

1. North Poidsear Coast: Fast travel to the North Poidsear Coast Floo Flame and walk east. Butterflies are on the left side of a circular part of the road.
2. South Poidsear Coast: Travel towards the South Poidsear Floo Flame. Butterflies are immediately next to the Floo Flame in the village.
3. Clagmar Coast: On the Northwestern most tip of the region. Head northwest from Clagmar Castle as high up the hills near the watery bay as possible.
