This guide details the locations and solutions for all 11 Merlin Trials found in the South Hogwarts Region of Hogwarts Legacy. Merlin Trials are environmental puzzles scattered throughout the game world that players can complete to earn experience and gear.

1. Merlin Trial Location #1: Use Lumos to attract fireflies on either side of the waterfall on the raised ridge and take them to the Merlin Trial blocks nearby to illuminate. The third block is on the edge of the raised grass bank facing the front of the waterfall.
2. Merlin Trial Location #2: Head onto the cliff overlooking the lake to find a large ball. Use Accio to drag the ball down the hill towards a huge hole in the beach. Place the ball into the hole to complete the trial.
3. Merlin Trial Location #3: Use Confringo to destroy all of the stone pillars surrounding this Merlin Trial.
4. Merlin Trial Location #4: Fly up to the facing cliff edge to knock off the boulder with Depulso, aiming towards the muddy water. The boulder should land near the Merlin Trial bowl. Keep using Depulso to knock it into place.
5. Merlin Trial Location #5: Head South down the hill towards the Merlin Trial bowl, passing it to go up the path to find the matching boulder. Use Depulso to knock down the wall blocking it and to roll it down the hill and into the bowl. If the boulder rolls off course, use Wingardium Leviosa to move it into place.
6. Merlin Trial Location #6: Use Wingardium Leviosa to move the small boulders found on the North side of this Merlin Trial between the cliff faces towards the south sockets in the ground.
7. Merlin Trial Location #7: Use Lumos to attract fireflies to light up the three Merlin Trial blocks near them.
8. Merlin Trial Location #8: Use Lumos to attract the fireflies situated to the North West, North East, and South West and take them to their nearby Merlin Trial stones to illuminate them.
9. Merlin Trial Location #9: Climb and jump across all of the stone pillars to complete this simple Merlin Trial. Starting from the left-hand side is recommended.
10. Merlin Trial Location #10: Destroy all nine of the circular pots with the basic attack to complete this Merlin trial. The majority are surrounding the Trial, with a couple located down the hill.
11. Merlin Trial Location #11: There are three pillars of differing heights. Use Incendio on the tallest one, quickly use Incendio on the medium-sized one, and then sprint to the smallest one behind the wall. Complete this before the tallest pillar sinks and the flame goes out.
