The most effective way to farm gold in Hogwarts Legacy is by rescuing beasts, though this requires some main story progress. Selling equipment is also a good option, with more efficient methods available that also allow for equipment upgrades.

Sell Old Gear

One of the earliest ways to farm Gold fast in Hogwarts Legacy is by selling unneeded equipment and clothes. Players have a limited number of equipment slots initially, making it wise to sell unwanted items while earning gold. While any vendor will buy items, traveling to Hogsmead offers the best prices. Additionally, completing Merlin Trials throughout the game can expand equipable slots.

Open Eye Chests

Each Eye Chest contains 500 Gold and can be found in numerous locations around the Castle and Hogsmead. To approach and open them, Wizards and Witches will need the following spells:
