First things first, after you've gotten through the intro bits, you'll want to fast travel to the Central Hall, which is right in The Library Annex. This is your hub for exploring Hogwarts itself. Before you jet off to your next class, keep an eye out for a character named Lenora. She's usually hanging out to the left of the main staircase. Chat with her, and she'll kick off your very first side quest.

Okay, so you'll notice something's off with a painting – a piece is missing! Head over to it. Now, you'll need to cast Lumos. On PlayStation, that's pressing + , and on Xbox, it's + . This spell will reveal a hidden spot in the Central Hall where the little moth has gone.

With the painting in front of you, turn to your right, heading towards the big door. Go down the stairs and then take a left. You should see the moth chilling in the corner of the stairs.

Go up to the moth; it'll automatically fly to your wand. Now, hustle back to that empty painting. Once it's back, make sure to collect the Field Log.

After grabbing the Field Log, head upstairs and have another quick chat with Lenora. Boom! Quest complete. Easy peasy.

Tips

Don't forget to cast Lumos! It's the key to finding the moth's hiding spot.
