To start the Hogwarts Secret Clock Tower Puzzle, you must first learn the Glacius spell and have at least Level 2 Alohomora. Glacius is learned after completing Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 1. Alohomora Level 2 is unlocked after completing Gladwin Moon’s The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament Quest and collecting Demiguise Statues.

The puzzle involves using the giant pendulum in the Clock Tower Courtyard to unlock four doors, each marked with a magical beast symbol. You need to cast Glacius on the pendulum when it aligns with the corresponding symbol on a door.

Hogwarts Secret Clock Tower Puzzle Walkthrough

1. Head to the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame in The South Wing.
2. Locate the four doors, each with a different magical beast symbol: Unicorn, Owl Face, Twin Snakes, and Scarab.
3. Unicorn Door: On the ground floor, to the immediate left of the Floo Flame. Cast Glacius when the pendulum is over the unicorn symbol.
4. Owl Face Door: On the first floor. From the Floo Flame, go left of the outside doorway, climb the stairs through a closed door. Once on the first floor, go left to the end. Cast Glacius when the pendulum aligns with the owl face symbol. This door may contain an eyeball chest, requiring the Disillusionment spell to open.
5. Twin Snakes Door: On the next level up. Use the staircase closest to the owl door. Once on the floor, head right, down a small set of stairs. Cast Glacius when the pendulum is over the twin snakes symbol.
6. Scarab Door: On the level above the twin snakes door. Use the left-sided staircase. Follow it until you see a door, go through it to be technically outside, with the door in front of you. Cast Glacius when the pendulum is over the scarab symbol.
