Outpost Zimonja

Conquer Outpost Zimonja in fallout 4 by defeating the Fat Man wielding Boomer. Find Power Armor and Astoundingly Awesome Tales.

Outpost Zimonja is a settlement in fallout 4 inhabited by Raiders. The leader of these Raiders is a character named Boomer, who wears Power Armor and wields a Fat Man. Boomer can withstand and deal a significant amount of damage, so it is recommended to use a high-powered weapon and have a critical hit banked. If Boomer is defeated from afar with critical headshots, conquering the outpost becomes easier. However, subordinate Raiders may pick up the Fat Man from Boomer's body after his defeat.

Once all Raiders are eliminated, you can activate the Workshop within the settlement's structures. A copy of Astoundingly Awesome Tales can be found on top of the workshop, which is the only notable loot in the immediate area.

Outpost Zimonja as a Settlement

Outpost Zimonja has pre-existing Raider structures that cannot be removed, including shacks, which compromises the southwestern edge of the settlement. The build area is irregularly shaped and not entirely level, requiring compromises in building design. While foundations can help, constructing a sizable building may be challenging. The area is mostly dirt, suitable for planting crops, but there are no standing water sources, making Water Purifiers unusable.

Exploring Around Outpost Zimonja

To the southeast of Outpost Zimonja, down a dirt road, is a small Raider outpost with a leveled Raider, two turrets, and a blue truck trailer. Inside the trailer, you can find an Explosives Box [Novice] and a Sleeping Bag.

Northwest from Outpost Zimonja, under a highway, is a shack, and north of that is another smaller shack. Both contain loot of no significant value or rarity. Following the highway south leads to a Gunner base atop it, protected by a Sentry Bot. Defeating the Sentry Bot yields Fusion Cores.

West from the highway, follow the train tracks south from Outpost Zimonja. You will find train cars on and around the tracks, and a white house where random encounters can spawn. Continue past derailed train cars until you find one still on the tracks. A suit of Power Armor is in a cage on the back. Further south, a blue train car contains an [Advanced] terminal. Hacking this terminal opens the cage, allowing you to claim another suit of Power Armor.
