Guide to completing the 'Where You Belong' quest in Fallout 4's Far Harbor DLC. Uncover DiMA's secrets, find Kasumi, and retrieve memory backups.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter Acadia and speak with DiMA. If Nick Valentine is with you, DiMA will speak with him about their shared history.
  2. 2
Explain to DiMA that you are looking for Kasumi. DiMA will confirm she is there and then prompt you to consider your own origins. You can also discuss the status of The Brotherhood, The Railroad, and The Institute with DiMA, with dialogue options varying based on your main game progress.
  3. 3
After your conversation with DiMA, you will receive the quest "Acadian Ideals."
  4. 4
Locate Kasumi within Acadia. Head down into the lower levels of Acadia (first door on the right from the entrance).
  5. 5
On the second floor down, on the left as you enter the area that begins to turn, you will find an "Islander's Almanac" on a counter. This issue grants the perk "You receive 10% less damage from Radiation based attacks." This is the fifth and final copy of the Almanac.
  6. 6
Continue to the bottom level and find Kasumi in the back.
  7. 7
Speak with Kasumi. She reveals she left of her own accord, believing herself to be a synth. She then asks for your help to investigate DiMA, believing he is up to no good.
  8. 8
    This initiates several new objectives:
    • Uncover DiMA’s Secrets
  9. 9
    (OPTIONAL): Hack Faraday’s Terminal
  10. 10
(OPTIONAL): Gain Access to the Storage Room
  11. 11
    (OPTIONAL): Talk to DiMA

Gaining Access to the Storage Room:

  1. The Storage Room is on the lower level with Kasumi.
  2. You can either pick the [Expert] lock on the Storage Room door or find the "Acadia Storage Key."
  3. To find the key, head upstairs to the second level and find Cog. Engage him in conversation and pass an easy speech check to learn he lost the key while moving supplies to the telescope room.
  4. Go upstairs to the southern end of DiMA's room. On the left, you'll find stairs to an upper level. Follow it around to a table where the "Acadia Storage Key" is located.
  5. Once inside the storage room, you can find Ammo Boxes and RadAway. There is also a point to sit and wait, allowing you to eavesdrop on DiMA, Farraday, and Chaser, learning about their concerns. This action also places a copy of "Faraday's Program" near Faraday's computer on the first floor.

Hacking Faraday's Terminal:

  1. Alternatively, you can hack Faraday's computer, which is a [Master] locked terminal.
  2. Successfully hacking it will reveal information from Faraday's journal entry. You can also download "Faraday's Program" from his computer.

Talking to DiMA:

  1. As another optional step, speak with DiMA directly.
  2. He will express his concerns and ask you to retrieve his memory back-ups. He also requests that you avoid conflict with the Children of Atom.

Reporting to Kasumi:

  1. Return to Kasumi and report what you have learned.
  2. She agrees that retrieving DiMA's earliest memories is a priority and asks you to do so.
  3. You can ask Kasumi about payment, which should result in receiving 500 Caps.
  4. Completing this objective ends the "Where You Belong" quest and begins the next main story mission, "Best Left Forgotten."
Tips
  • If you have been following the guide, this is the fifth and final copy of "The Islander's Almanac" you will find.
  • The "Hack Terminal" and "Pick Storage Room" objectives cannot both be completed. Choose one to proceed.
  • 651 XP
  • 500 Caps (if negotiated with Kasumi)
  • Quest completion: "Where You Belong"
