Human Error

Stockton’s Caravan: Before investigating Covenant, speak to Honest Dan and ask "What's a synth?" to learn about the town's fears. Find the Mr. Handy robot Deezer and either accept or decline his lemonade. Leave Covenant and follow the road north, then east. You'll find the caravan with two dead Brahmin and a dead Gunner. Loot the blue Cooler for Deezer's Lemonade, confirming the caravan's connection to Covenant. Search for blood on the road [Perception 6+] to find a trail leading back to Covenant.

Search Covenant for Evidence: Return to Covenant.

• Talia McGovern: Speak to Talia and select "Covenant investigation," then "Problem with synths," and "Lie about test." Follow up with "Lie about Dan." She will mention a "Compound."

Penny Fitzgerald: Speak to Penny, the general store proprietress. Select "Covenant investigation," "Missing caravan," and "Gossip about Dan." If you succeed at a moderate dialog check ("Butter her up"), she will reveal details about the "Compound."

Office Building (Easternmost House): Investigate the Bookshelf, the Safe Report note on the desk, and the Broken Radio. If you have [Luck 9+], you can interact with the radio to gain intel on the "Compound."

Office Terminal: The Office building has a [Master] difficulty terminal. If you can hack it, you'll get the intel you need. Alternatively, you can steal a Covenant Office Key from the desk in the northwestern corner of the room if the door is locked [Master] at night.

Blue House (Northwestern Edge): If you cannot hack the terminal, enter the blue house. The door is [Advanced] difficulty to pick. If you cannot pick it, steal a Covenant House Key from any Covenant settler. Inside, search a bedside table to find Jacob’s Password and another Covenant House Key.

Investigate the Terminal: Use the password to bypass the [Master] difficulty terminal in the office and obtain the necessary intel on Covenant.

Inform Honest Dan: Return to Honest Dan and tell him the location of the Compound. He will accompany you there.

Jacob Orden's Bargain: Jacob Orden will confront you at the door to Covenant. He will offer you 100 Caps to drop the caravan issue. Accepting the bribe will not end the quest, and Jacob will not hinder you.
