Scenario Mode: This is the basic game mode where you choose from 5 scenarios. Initially, only "Easy" and "Normal" difficulties are available, and you must beat the first scenario to unlock the next stage. "Hard" and "Very Hard" are two additional secret difficulties that can be unlocked.
Free Mode: Also known as "Infinite Ammo Free Mode," this mode is identical to Scenario mode, but all weapons come with an unlimited supply of bullets when you first acquire them.
Survival Rule Mode: This mode was implemented to fix an online bug in the NTSC/J version. It functions the same as Scenario mode but includes friendly fire, allowing you to attack your teammates.
