Alright, so you've stumbled upon the Broken Shotgun. Don't worry, it's not actually useful for shooting, but it's a super important key item! Think of it as a puzzle piece. ### Purpose This bad boy lets you swap out a regular shotgun hanging in the Spencer Mansion's 1F east lounge. Doing this lets you grab the actual shotgun without triggering a nasty falling ceiling trap. If you're playing as Chris, this is pretty much the *only* way to get the shotgun safely. Jill can sometimes get help from Barry Burton to avoid the trap, but if he's not around or you take a different route, you'll need the Broken Shotgun too. ### Location You'll find the Broken Shotgun in the Firearms room within the Spencer Mansion. This applies to both the original game and its Remake. ### Further Notes Just a heads-up on some trivia: in the original game, the description has a couple of typos like "Dose" instead of "Does" and "Have" instead of "Has." Apparently, this was a common thing with early English translations from Capcom. Also, the broken shotguns in the game are modeled after real-life weapons: the Remington M870 and the Winchester M1897.
