Hey there! So, you're looking to explore some of the less obvious spots in Resident Evil Outbreak, huh? These optional rooms can be a bit tricky, especially on higher difficulties, but they often hide some useful goodies. Let's break down what you might find and where.

STOREROOM

This little room is off-limits on Very Hard mode, so keep that in mind. If you can get in, though, you'll find some HANDGUN ROUNDS, .45 AUTO BULLETS, and a BATTERY. There are also healing items stashed in lockers. The locker on the right needs Alyssa's lockpick skill to open. Once you've grabbed everything, just head back out.

2F CORRIDOR

If you decide to check out the second door on this floor, you'll find yourself in a corridor. Depending on the difficulty, you might find a GREEN HERB or a BLUE HERB. Just be prepared for a zombie or two if you're not playing on Easy mode. The door at the far end of this corridor leads to the BOILER MANAGEMENT ROOM.

BOILER MANAGEMENT ROOM

On Easy mode, there's a GREEN HERB waiting for you here. No matter the difficulty, though, you can snag some SHOTGUN BULLETS. After you've looted this spot, move on to the next room, which is the 2F BOILER ROOM.

2F BOILER ROOM

You'll find a healing item here if you're playing on an easier setting. While there aren't any resources on Hard, you can grab a BLUE HERB on Very Hard. The real prize here, though, is the SECURITY OFFICE CARD KEY you can get from a body. You'll need this key to get into the SECURITY OFFICE. Quick tip: if you're playing offline, your AI partner might have already unlocked that door for you if you're following this path.

ROOM 201

Heads up, ROOM 201 is off-limits on Hard mode. Inside, you can find ANTI-VIRUS and a GREEN HERB. There's also a zombie chilling in the bathroom on Normal and Very Hard difficulties. If you've got Alyssa and her lockpick skills, you can open the bathroom door to find a healing item and another zombie on Easy mode.
