Your goal is to line up three matching symbols to trigger an effect. He starts with Element Reels, but you'll unlock the others by playing Blitzball. Trust me, getting these down is super useful, especially one in particular!

Here's how you get your hands on each of Wakka's slot reels:

Out of all of them, Attack Reels is the absolute best. If you manage to line up three '2' symbols, you'll unleash a devastating 12-hit combo! It's one of the strongest moves in the entire game. If you're having trouble lining up the 2s, here's a little trick: get the first two slots to land on 2, and then just wait for the timer to run out for the third slot. It's guaranteed to land on a 2 that way, so you'll always get that sweet 12-hit attack.

The other reels are useful too, though. Element Reels lets you hit enemies with different elemental attacks. Getting three matching elemental symbols will hit all enemies, while two matching symbols will target a single foe.

Status Reels is similar but focuses on inflicting status ailments. The skull symbol can inflict Poison, Sleep, Silence, and Darkness all at once. The down arrow symbol is super handy as it inflicts all the 'Break' status effects (Defense Break, Magic Break, etc.). And the hourglass symbol can petrify enemies or inflict Slow.

Finally, Auroch Reels is a mix of the other two. Lining up the Auroch symbols will trigger a powerful non-elemental attack that hits all enemies.
