Blue Element: Macalania

Alright, so you've made it to the Macalania Woods, and you're about to run into a new type of enemy called the Blue Element. Think of these guys as part of a 'class' of enemies called Elements, meaning they're pretty tough against regular attacks. Your best bet here is to use magic, specifically Thunder magic.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 1,500 (2,250 for Overkill)
• AP: 240
• Weak: Thunder
• Resistances: Fire/Ice (Halved), Water (Absorbs)

Item Drops:

• Common Drop: Mana Sphere (x1)
• Rare Drop: Mana Sphere (x1)
• Common Steal: Fish Scale (x2)
• Rare Steal: Fish Scale (x3)

Strategy:

• Since the Blue Element is resistant to physical attacks, you'll want to rely on magic. Lulu's Thundara spell is perfect for this enemy. It'll take it down much faster than trying to hack away at it with Tidus or Wakka.
• Keep an eye on its Watera attack. It can hit pretty hard, especially at this point in the game, so make sure your party is healed up.
• If you're looking to snag some extra items, try stealing Fish Scales. You can get two commonly and three if you're lucky with a rare steal. Mana Spheres are also a decent drop if you need them.
