Navigate Guadosalam, unlock equipment customization, find hidden treasures like Al Bhed Primer Vol. XIII, and prepare for the Thunder Plains in Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering Guadosalam, Tromell Guado will greet you and inform you that Seymour awaits Yuna at his manor.
- 2Rikku will unlock the ability to customize equipment. This allows you to add auto-abilities to weapons and armor by expending items, provided the equipment has an open slot. It's recommended to save items for later as there's not much to customize at this point.
- 3The first doorway nearby leads to an inn with a Save Sphere. Maechen is also present to discuss the Farplane and pyreflies.
- 4Exit the inn and proceed to the manor's entrance. To the right of the entrance, open a chest for a Mega-Potion.
- 5Follow the western wall and enter the first building. Inside, you'll find Al Bhed Primer Vol. XIII on the ground and a chest in the back containing 3,000 Gil.
- 6Exit this building and continue south along the western wall to find two NPCs talking by a lamp. Squeeze past them to find another chest containing an Elixir.
- 7Go up the ramp to find the entrance to the Farplane. Below the ramp is the shop. O’aka may offer cheaper goods if you've donated enough. Consider purchasing Yellow armor for the upcoming Thunder Plains.
- 8Head inside Seymour's manor.
- 9Climb the stairs and search in the middle for a chest containing two Hi-Potions.
- 10On the left set of stairs, speak to Wakka. Then, go to the right side and speak with Lulu to trigger a scene.
- 11Feel free to speak with other NPCs downstairs before approaching the double doors for another scene.
- 12Speak with everyone inside to trigger another scene.
- 13Exit the manor and meet your party. Head towards the Farplane entrance.
- 14As you enter the next screen, look left for a hidden chest containing 8 Lightning Marbles.
- 15Enter the Farplane. Once you gain control, speak to Lulu, then Wakka and Lulu again.
- 16Approach Yuna to advance the story and conclude the Farplane visit.
- 17After returning to Guadosalam, go back to the area in front of Seymour's manor to meet the party. They will then disperse while waiting for Yuna.
- 18You can speak with everyone; speaking with Lulu twice may affect a later scene. Kimahri will appear as you attempt to enter the shop.
- 19Tidus' Brotherhood weapon will receive buffs after the Farplane scenes: Strength +5% (initial), Strength +10%, Sensor, and Waterstrike.
- 20To get on with the main story, approach the exit near the beginning area (the decline guarded by an NPC) for a scene with Shelinda.
- 21Meet the party in front of the manor; the next destination is Macalania Temple, via the Thunder Plains.
- 22Before leaving Guadosalam, return to the Farplane. Inside the Farplane area, a chest on the left contains the Venus Crest, used to power up Lulu's Celestial Weapon.
- 23The decline where you met Shelinda is the exit to the Thunder Plains.
Tips
- Customization requires an empty slot on the equipment.
- Not all equipment can be customized. Tidus' Brotherhood is an example of equipment that cannot be customized.
- It's advisable to save customization items for later in the game.
- Consider purchasing Yellow armor for your characters before heading to the Thunder Plains.
- You can speak with NPCs multiple times; speaking with Lulu twice after returning from the Farplane might affect a later scene.
